Privacy Policy

Orbit Cam is an airborne law enforcement training simulator operated by grayscale strategy llc ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use flyorbitcam.com and the Orbit Cam simulators, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you create an account, including the free account needed to try the 2-minute demo, we collect your name, email address and password. Passwords are handled by our login provider, Supabase, and are stored only in scrambled (hashed) form; they are never visible to us.
- Payment information. Purchases are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. We receive a record of the purchase, such as the plan, amount and date.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep the message and your contact details so we can reply.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.
- Simulator settings. The simulators may save settings, such as display preferences, in your own browser. That information stays on your device and is not sent to us.
- Simulator sessions. When you open a simulator we record your account, which simulator you opened, and when it started and was last active. While it is open, the simulator checks in with our server every few minutes. We use this only to confirm that your plan includes that simulator, to limit how many screens one login can use at the same time, and to time the free demo.
How we use it
- To create and manage your account and give you access to the simulators you are entitled to.
- To process payments, manage subscriptions and send receipts.
- To respond to your questions and provide support.
- To send important notices about your account, such as renewal reminders, password resets and changes to these terms.
- To keep the site and simulators secure and prevent misuse.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use only the cookies and browser storage needed for the site to work: keeping you signed in (Supabase), confirming your access while a simulator is open, and completing checkout (Stripe). We do not use advertising, analytics or cross-site tracking cookies. To see how many people visit, we keep an anonymous count of page views: the page visited, the referring website, the country and the device type (phone, tablet or computer). No cookie is set and no IP address is stored; a visitor can be recognised for one day only, through a one-way code that changes daily. Our fonts are hosted on our own site, so loading a page does not contact Google or other font services.
No tracking cookies were left behind, and no cookies were harmed in the making of this website.
Services the simulators connect to
To draw maps, look up places and show live weather, the simulators load data directly from these public services. Your browser connects to them, so they receive your IP address and the area you are training on, but not your name, email or account details:
- Cloudflare (cdnjs), which delivers the 3D graphics library the simulators run on.
- OpenStreetMap services (Overpass and Nominatim), for map data and place search when you load your own area.
- Esri (ArcGIS), for the background map used to choose an area.
- Open-Meteo, for current weather and daylight at the training location.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We do not send them your account information.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run Orbit Cam, and only as needed for them to do so:
- Supabase, for accounts, login and our account database.
- Resend, for sending account emails such as sign-up confirmations, password resets and agency renewal reminders.
- Stripe, for payments and billing.
- Netlify, for website hosting.
- Namecheap and Google (Gmail), for handling email sent to our flyorbitcam.com addresses.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users or the public. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep account information for as long as your account is open. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your information within a reasonable time, except records we must keep for tax, accounting or legal reasons.
Your choices and rights
- You can update your name and email, or reset your password, at any time.
- You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account by emailing info@flyorbitcam.com.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. We will honor applicable requests.
Do Not Track
Because we do not track you across other websites, our site behaves the same way whether or not your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and logins and payments are handled by established providers with their own security programs. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and keep it private.
Children
Orbit Cam is a professional training tool intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will also notify account holders by email.
